A QCD sum rule study of the light scalar mesons
We examine the interpretation of the light scalar meson nonet as bound states of the scalar diquark and the scalar antidiquark using the QCD sum rule approach. Our results are obtained by means of the operator product expansion (OPE) including operators up to dimension 8. They show no evidence of the coupling of the tetraquark states to the light scalar meson nonet. Pacs: 11.55.Hx, 12.38.Aw, 12...
متن کاملQCD Finite Energy Sum Rules and the Isoscalar Scalar Mesons
We apply QCD Finite Energy Sum Rules to the scalar-isoscalar current to determine the lightest uu+ dd meson in this channel. We use ‘pinch-weights’ to improve the reliability of the QCD predictions and reduce the sensitivity to the cut-off s0. A decaying exponential is included in the weight function to allow us to focus on the contribution from low mass states to the phenomenological integral....
متن کاملThe structure of the light scalar mesons and QCD sum rules
The structure of the light scalar mesons is elucidated by the investigation of the S-matrix poles and the qq̄ spectral density in a coupled channel model that includes ππ, KK̄ and qq̄ channels. It is shown that the dynamical origin of the σ and f0(980) mesons is consistent with the observed spectrum of the scalar states. The KK̄ molecular picture of the f0(980) is in good agreement with recent expe...
متن کاملSemileptonic D decay into scalar mesons: a QCD sum rule approach
Semileptonic decays of D-mesons into scalar hadronic states are investigated. Two extreme cases are considered: a) the meson decays directly into an uncorrelated scalar state of two two mesons and b) the decay proceeds via resonance formation. QCD sum rules including instanton contributions are used to calculate total and differential decay rates under the two assumptions. PACS Numbers : 12.38....
متن کاملTransverse quark distribution in mesons: QCD sum rule approach.
QCD sum rules are used to compute the first few moments of the mesonic quark momentum. Transverse, longitudinal and mixed transverse-longitudinal components are examined. The transverse size of the pion is shown to be dictated by the gluon condensate, even though the mass and the longitudinal distribution are dominated by the quark condensate. The implications of our results for color transpare...
